Starting January 2008 I switched from being a full time employee to being a full time freelancer. For those of you with similar plans there are several interesting sites out there and one of my favourite ones just published a very useful book, available either as a PDF or paperback.
The book covers lots of items from getting started and defining your brand to arranging your workday and dealing with projects etc. Of course, you could get a lot of that information by surfing online (even on their own useful website freelanceswitch.com) but the book is a nice summary that would otherwise take lots of time collecting from several sources.
