ReviewR is a showcase of a possible solution for reviewing websites and designs. It also shows some collaboration features like inviting people to join your review and give comments.

“ReviewR” is the name of a new Adobe Flex based AIR application that showcases a simple solution for getting feedback on your website designs.
For now, the concept is still in it’s early stages, with a fully functional “proof of concept” versionĀ available around January 2009 for people that are interested in the concept and/or like to contribute to the final feature set of future ReviewR versions.
Some people were amazed when they saw the new version of the CreOFF site. And -embarrassing to admit- not all in a positive way. What happened to that nice old Flash site, original yet simple and to the point?

Good news for CodeIgniter developers: the creators of CodeIgniter EllisLab have written the newest version of their custom CMS on top of the CodeIgniter framework.
This is promising both for the CMS users as well as the CodeIgniter developers: the content editors will be able to find developers for customized functionality more easily, and the developer will get enhancements to the CI framework on a regular basis.
A while ago in 2007 Duval Guillaume made this bilingual mini-site for their client Dexia. And me, I got the chance to try out a PHP framework called CodeIgniter. What’s so special about it? Well… this was the first time I chose to work with CodeIgniter and I’ve been in love ever since.

For Happiness Brussels i helped with a dynamic mailing that required a personalised score to be shown in every mail.
Two graphs were included in the mail and actually it was *fun* to create the system that generated the personalised graphs for each mail. Oops… does that make me sound too much like a geek?
I ended up making separate classes for the LCD screen and the graph itself, so it was easy to change the graphs if necessary.
No, from now on graphs don’t scare me anymore
Another fine project for Duval Guillaume. I helped with the PHP part (connection to the database, contest) and some technical bits of the photo upload module.
I especially like how the videos are seamlessly connected into one single episode. (Well done, Sander!)

Website + banner campaign I made for Duval Guillaume. Mark your favourite dogspots and meet other dogs (and probably also other dog owners).
For the tech minded amongst you: it was written in PHP on a Fusebox framework, the site used ajax, Googlemaps and other scripting extensively (Fusebox is a framework that’s popular amongst ColdFusion developers)
The banner below is just a screenshot of one of the banners that existed – it’s no longer functional since the website has gone offline. In the real banner(s) you could type in your postal code or town name in the text box and click on “zoeken” (search) and you would be redirected to the Dogs on the Block site already showing the correct location on the map…
